TIA Flights Delayed, Canceled as Winter Storms Pummel Country

Be sure to check your flight status before heading out from Seminole Heights.

Planning to escape before the holiday break is over, or just want to send your Christmas guests safely on their way home?

Before you head out from your  Seminole Heights home for Tampa International Airport, you may want to check the status of your flight.

TIA has a number of departing flights listed as delayed as a major snowstorm pummels portions of the country, including the West and the Northeast. Incoming flights are also delayed and some cancellations have been logged.

Snow is forecast throughout much of the country today, Dec. 26, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Potentially heavy snow is forecast in the Northeast and parts of the South, as well. In Florida, the threat of severe thunderstorms has mostly passed and a partly sunny afternoon and mostly clear evening are anticipated, according to the National Weather Service.

Visit Tampa International Airport’s website to check on the status of arriving or departing flights. You can also check directly with your airline.

Have the flight delays messed up your holiday travel plans?
