I'm sorry but I feel that no one can compare to the friendly service we recieved at Cleanse Apothecary while visiting friends in Tampa. I wanted a hostess gift and the owner(Greg Curtis) showed me a variety of candles,which they loved their Voluspa Candle by the way. He was very caring and wasn't pushing his products like some stores do. We will be back in Tampa area again in May and will def. be back to do shopping for ourselves too.

I have a lot of animal lovers in my family so that is always my go-to Christmas gift plan. I went to Health Mutt and it was great! The owner (that is customer service if I've ever seen it, the owner one-on-one with customers!) listened to the animals everyone had and helped me pick out considerate gifts tailored to each one. Needless to say, everyone in my family was excited and I've gotten back rave reviews since their dogs and cats (tons of great cat stuff, don't let the name fool you!) played with the toys and ate the treats. Thank you Health Mutt for making it a special Christmas!

Why/how is Canadian Pharmacy cheating? Dirty tactics like that (not a reputable business, clearly) and this arbitrary bracketing will make good, loved businesses miss out on the recognition they deserve. Tsk, tsk. I thought Seminole Heights was better than this...

Hey everybody, thanks for all your votes and comments. We're doing our best to make sure the contest is fair, but no method is fool-proof.
It's clear that all these local businesses, and many others, have great customer service and passionate fans, and we at Patch recognize that and salute you! So Health Mutt who still has almost triple the votes of the next highest business, and has almost all of the comments, is now left out in the cold because of these silly brackets and the misfortune to be paired in the bracket with a questionable business with a highly questionable amount of votes?! Is this for real? Good to know Patch doesn't administer elections, the sleazy guys would always win!

Agree! What a joke on this round! There are not that many people in the Heights that even read this let alone voted like that. I guess some "businesses" had nothing better to do today than log in and out to vote over and over....sad

As a customer and friend of The Canadian Drugstore, I am surprised by these comments! The Canadian Drugstore has been in business since 2003 and has 4 locations in the Tampa Bay Area, as well as a passionate Facebook fan base. Such growth and support does not, in my mind, exhibit a questionable business but rather a business that Fans want to rave about. I saw the notice on their FB page, voted and shared the link. I am sure that is what other Fans did as well. Isn't that what we were supposed to do?

I also learned of this contest through The Canadian Drugstore's facebook page. I also shared their link on my page and saw a couple other friends doing the same. I'm sad to see such negative remarks made towards a very passionate business.

The Canadian Drugstore has a current active customer base of over 10,000 individuals in the Tampa Bay area alone and we work on a daily basis through many social media outlets.We have been providing stellar customer service through our 4 Bay area locations for over 9 years. We are members of multiple Chambers of Commerce and BGoSH. I think Kendra and her parents have done a great job with Health Mutt. I was there the day she opened and have been a loyal customer since then. To call my business or myself "sleazy" when It seems you have never stepped foot in my door or met me is odd. I guess that is one of the advantages to social media You can reach a massive amount of people and have the freedom to say what you feel openly.
Congratulations to all of the businesses who made it to the next round. Also, I would like to welcome to the neighborhood Seminole Heights Barber Shop. Glad to see you guys here and wish you well.

So, this is not a local competition in that case. If you have 4 locations over the tampa bay area then the results still are not indicative of the Seminole Heights location solely. It is represents your 10,000 customers in the Tampa Bay area. Congratulations on the win but I still feel its stacked against "local" Seminole Heights businesses.
