If you're a central Tampa resident, mark your calendar for April 5.

That's the date for Relay for Life in Seminole Heights, an annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

"Most people think it’s a Seminole Heights event, but in reality, it's Central Tampa," said Wendy Ward, who is helping coordinate the event. "From Sulphur Springs along to Ybor along the urban corridor. People from downtown Tampa can get involved, too."

Ward is also looking for a logistics point person for the April 5 event, and a mission/education chair to talk about the American Cancer Society's goals. To contact Ward about the positions, email her at wendysward@hotmail.com.
