The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Seminole Heights hosted a wrap-up party on Monday, May 7, at the Common Ground Christian Church.

Relay for Life of Seminole Heights event chair Chad Daughtrey said that Alexis Spivak won the Top Individual Fundraiser Award and Common Ground Christian Church, captained by Sara Ives, won the Top Team Fundraiser Award.
The 2012 Relay for Life of Seminole Heights raised $47,000 for cancer research, according to Daughtrey.
Daughtrey said that this year’s goal was to raise $52,000.
Relay for Life of Seminole Heights took place April 13-14, at Hillsborough High School. Thirty-two groups with a total of 403 participants took part in the 18-hour long event at the school at 5000 Central Ave.
