Pres. Obama has a solid record of foreign policy experience. Romney actually has no foreign policy experience. I expect tonight that you will see Pres. Obama explain how he has been extracting the U.S. from two long expensive and unfunded wars that Pres. Bush got us into. I expect that Pres Obama will explain how he got Osama Bin Laden and how he has coordinated a strong foreign policy with U.S. allies. I also expect to hear Romney continue to repeat false GOP talking points about Pres. Obama in order to cover up for his own lack of foreign policy experience. The only actual foreign policy experience that Mitt Romney has is travelling overseas to visit the millions of dollars that he has hiding in foreign bank accounts so that he can avoid paying any taxes to support our government.

Really? Is that why our Ambassador got killed and he attempted to blame something else and cover it up? Bin Laden wasn't Obama getting him, he was sitting in the right spot at the right time. Anyone would have. All the work came much before Obama. Obama tells us to feel safe and he has the Al Qaeda on the run. I hope you really don't believe any of that after all the current events!

Joe C. must be getting doubles at the MSNBC Kool-Aid stand. Obama didn't kill Bin Laden, our brave military did that. Obama and Hillary Clinton did withdraw the SST headed by Lt. Kernel Wood from their mission of protecting Amb. Stevens at the consulate. The SST is a 16 man team of highly trained specialist, whose soul purpose was to guard against such attacks that happend. They were withdrawn against the wishes of Amb. Stevens and Lt. Kernel Wood, they both knew terrorist were in a build up mode. Lt. Kernel Wood was with Amb. Stevens for 9 months in Libya, he is angry at the senseless way in which our4 good men were killed. Why did Obama sacrifice the lives of our men, what was his motivation? The SST is funded by the DOD, so it was not lack of State Dep. funds. The WH and the State Dep. watched the 7 hour attack in real time, and yet did nothing to bring rescue for the Americans under seige. NOTHING!!! American forces were 1 hour flight time away, the attack lasted 7 hours. Then Obama and his Aministration LIED to the public and the rest of the world for two weeks. Makes you sick to your stomach, does it not? Obama has no honor or integrity, it appears he is a pathological liar. The blood of four good and brave men is on the hands of Barry Obama, and Hillary Clinton. Then again she has always been good at standing by her man. Wake up America and throw these morons out of office.

What I would love to hear President Obama say tonight is that he agrees that he has not been a good President and has decided to withdraw from this election for the good of the country.
Since that will not happen because he is, and has been, only interested in what is best for him and not for our country I hope that the truly open minded voters see that Romney is our only hope and that they make sure to vote.

What a silly question. What do we expect from the debate? More lies from Romney! I saw a Romney Ad early this morning. At least I think I did, it may have been a bad dream. It gave us five reasons why we should not vote for Obama. The problem is, every one of the reasons, was based on a lie started by the wealthy Romney PACS. Think about it, the country's worst polluters, job outsoursers, casino owners, offshore bank account holders are supporting Mitt. A guy who won't show us his tax returns (why), a man who won't give you his plan (trust me) until after the election, a man who has been on every side (flip flopping) of every major issue, a man (and who's children) refused to defend this country in a time of war, and is a member of a cult. Why are they supporting this man of no principles? They want something, and this man of no conscience will give them whatever they want. More of what you got from the policies of George Bush....

Romney will attack Obama on Libya. He will talk about China as a currency manipulator. Obama will list his accomplishments. The winner of the debate will be the candidate that best makes the connection between foreign policy and domestic issues. How do foreign policy issues affect the economy? Aside from that, the candidate that shows he can best keep America secure will do well. Obama has the advantage here, seeing as how he is the only candidate to actually have experience doing that job. He understands the issues on a deeper level.

Al Qaeda on the run? I think not and they are alive and well, even moreso than GM with the latests in current events! Obama apologizing and promoting policies of appeasement which is inform our enemies that they are free to do almost anything they want. We don't know what Romney will say beforehand because it isn't a "script" like that which the democrats and liberal-based media are given to speak from. As for a Plan, if you listened to Romney in the earlier debate, his plan is to work with the members of Congress, whose job it is to listen to the citizens they represent and create legislature to meet their needs. It would be overstepping the duties of the President to dictate a Plan to Congress for them to follow. As Romney has stated many times, his role will be to provide a general direction while working with the two houses of Congress to ensure that legislation doesn't languish due to party polarization. It's called cooperation, something that has been missing in Congress for quite some time.

Totally ignorant, totally wrong, Please try your act on some less knowledgeable posters. None of us are buying these lies. If you think patriotic Americans want another war or two in the Middle East, you are so wrong. Gov. Romney's foreign policy experience is limited to his money being in foreign banks. Like all his neo-con advisors left over from the Bush II years (remember the way Bush/Cheney "negotiated from a position of strength" in Iraq? ) Gov Romney will put America into useless wars just to prove (despite their collective lack of military service) the neo-cons are men with "big guns". . Of course Gov. Romney's five sons won't be the ones to fight those wars. The real world is a very dangerous place. There is no place for a "shoot first, aim later" foreign policy like Gov. Romney will adopt from his Bush II advisors.

Although the Gallup Daily tracking poll gives Romney an advantage of 7 percentage points (52 to 45 percent), an Investors Business Daily/TIPP survey shows Obama with a 6-point lead (48 to 42 percent). Both of these polls are considered to be statistical outliers. Most other tracking polls show the presidential race to be a statistical dead heat.

Are you and bruce for real? Just Obama's policy of appeasement all the time has shown historically that it has caused wars! Obama's actions have been pro Muslim since he has been in office. He underestimated the radical groups in Egypt when Mubarak was overthrown and now he gives our tax dollars to the radical muslim brotherhood groups. He was warned about that during the revolution. This is our tax money better spent her inside the US than giving foreign aid to these people. Here is an article from the Sacramento Bee about it. http://www.sacbee.com/2012/10/15/4913401/secure-america-now-says-us-tax.html
So please don't tell me Obama knows anything about foreign policy. Getting people killed because he wants to normalize relations and not protecting the ambassador after being asked several times. He knew nothing about foreign policy before and does not now.

Romney's idea of foreign policy is to start a war at the drop of a hat. You got it right . He knows nothing about foreign policy. Look at his approval ratings as governor of Massachusetts! They hated him!
He hides his tax info,Whats that about? You only hide stuff like that when you have something to hide and everyone with half a brain knows that. He has all these big ideas how he is going to change everything around but he cant tell us just how he is going to do it. And his numbers do NOT add up people. I am looking forward to a debate. You know where two people discuss actual facts and present different view points and ideas to solve a variety of issues using factual material presented in a plausible rational format with respect to each other and the moderator. Doubt very seriously that is what I will see tonight but I continue to hold out hope.
Maybe four years from now the GOP will put up a serious candidate and the Democrats will have another serious candidate like our President and then we might witness a real debate........doubt that too......the GOP will spend the next 4 years planning how to ruin Obama's second term and the Democrats will spend 4 years trying to point it out to everyone.
So in the end the GOP will put up another yahoo and the Dems will put up whoever will jump in and we can repeat this cycle until all of the far right and all far left have either died or checked into nursing homes!
Then we moderates can get something done!
Don't worry we will visit both of you and bring you your favorite mag's like GunsRus Weekly and Vanity Fair and you can have all the protein shakes you can drink!

Also, he has stated he wants redistribution of wealth which is leading us down the path to socialism and bankruptcy. So if you like growing bigger government who believes in running business and the European style of socialism then your right. You would support him. I do not believe in socialism or big government. The keynsian economics theories has never worked well.

Raymond,
Socialism and Bankruptcy does happen in a few European Countries, but there are several Socialist Countries that are doing quite well (see Germany). The problem is socialism doesn't work in some cultural areas. As far as Keynsian Economics which has been apart of our country since the 1940's, has been working for approximately 70 years for the U.S. government. But now it doesn't? I would have to dissagree with you, because if done properly like most of the 70 years we have used it, it works very very well. Your last comment on Big Government, so I'm assuming you are not voting Republican as well, because they are also a big government party. Just because they tell you they aren't doesn't mean that is true. Historically they also are all about big government dictating people's behavior (see Patriot Act).

Now Obama wants government to run every aspect of your life. And I will say it again. Socialism European style or any other style has never worked. Countries had to change. Just think how inefficient govt is now! Our economic rebound has been hindered by many times because of Obama's policies hindering the recovery. We need safety nets for people but the extremism of the socialistic policies will never work. We are headed for another debt downgrade, eventual hyperinflation, government run healthcare which will degrade our healthcare, etc. I am not a fan of how the government has handled the country for years but this extremism by the Libs and supported by Obama is too much. Pres. Obama does not want to run every aspect of your life. It is the religious fundamentalists who really want to use the government to force women to obey their religious beliefs on family planning. Pres. Obama also does not advocate European socialism here. I don't even think that you understand the different types of social safety nets that the many different European governments offer their people. The social safety net, which includes universal health care, has worked well in many European countries like Germany. The German economy for example has performed extremely well and everyone has health insurance and shares in the country's wealth. They do not have the extremes of wealth and poverty that you see in the U.S. Also, poor people do not have to use the emergency room in order to get some health care. The only extremism that you should fear is if Romney gets elected president and the Ryan budget is enacted. You will be losing all of you middle class tax deductions, Medicare will turn into a voucher system, Romney's 2 trillion dollar increase in the military budget will bankrupt this country, all regulations that protect the public against Wall Street greed will be removed, and women will return to a pre-1973 Roe v. Wade world where women will start dying again from illegal and dangerous abortions.

Dear B, I could not agree more foreign Policy and what we can do on a Global scale is hinged to the economy. The entirely failed Obamation Economics is failed and and based on fallacy. Unemployment at 7.8% ( to Obama a marked fall ) only includes those looking for jobs not those that gave up that probably is near 13%, but when you control the Labor Dept. you can say it's 1%. Only Romney can turn around the economy which conveys confidence to Europe and increases their economy. The US has always been the key to geopolitical events in a world thats always been economocentric. Only Romney can attempt to erase the debacle of the Obama years. He's done it in the private sector. As you said Obama people prefer Socialist lies, Marxism is a failed system , even Putin's government is organized crime capitalism. Why people think they are better off is that Obama is a greater master of "smoke and mirrors" than Reagan, he mesmerizes his children like a Jonestown cult. No one is better off , even Bill Gates. Mr Gates is not giving his hard earned dollars to people who feel entitled. We are only entitled to be born and die.

B,
So what you are saying is that the European countries like Germany are not thriving economically. Stats, number and facts differ from your opinion. True any theory of government doesn't work, just like true democracy and true capitolism doesn't work. But Socialism does work, so you are incorrect. There are cultures that socialism will not work for. I personally do not think that the U.S. is a culture were it will work. So your ASSUPTION that I'm pro-socialism for the U.S. is out of thin air. Also the statistics from many avenues would also say the policies under Obama also keep us from going to recession. Like in all things its how you manipulate your facts to turn them into opinions. I would like to thank Fox News and MSNBC for doing that so well. You also ASSUME I'm a liberal and am voting for Obama. Again your lack of an agrument, you try to make your opinions to sound like facts. We are in debt as a country, and it started before Obama and it will continue with whomever enters office. Keynesian theory is to work with businesses as a partner not as a overlord. Yes, our government through out our history has been a partner to business. Now, it is dependent on which party is in power, to which businesses get more of that partnership. Your agrument is really,"I like Romney, so I'm going to feed you what I have been told about Obama even if it is inaccurate". I have my issues with both major candidates, and they are both dangerous.

Unbelievable. Switched positions AGAIN! Now Romney inches his way to the moderate middle to gain the last of the crumbs of votes left out there by undecided voters. He will agree and agree till hie is red in the face with the President's policies without shame! It' s unbelievable folks. Now he will say that he has always held those positions.......but guess what? There are records, all over the place that will prove you wrong Mr. Romney. History, will show how many times you have lied and changed your views to suit your political agenda. Romney...you are an operator and always will be. Stay out of politics, stay out of our lives and go build those parts that you took away from American workers, and move to China. Please....who won the debate,? Can't you people see what is really happening here? The ruling class of wealthy plutocrats and oligarchs need us to be a devided people, you know, devide and conquer to rule. As long as we have a devided electorate they win and they simply give the people bread and circuses to keep us all pacified. If the people in this country ever come together and vote them all out of office and elect representatives not beholden to the corporations and special interests, then we the people win. It is well past time for the people of this country to come together and demand real change that ameliorates the lives of the approximately 311 million people that are not the wealthy top 2% and say enough is enough. Wake up people!

And, Anti-Liberal, just what is your excuse for not discussing the Indiana Senate Candidate's comment that "pregnancies resulting from rape are God's plan"? Does that mean the deaths in Benghazii were "God"s plan", too? Or Florida's own "Connie (rules don't apply to me) Mack's comment that the United Nations should leave "American Soil"? Are you going to be honest and own up to the fact your candidates are way, way outside the mainstream of American beliefs? And if elected they will do real harm to this country?

And yes I will own up to your allegations; something as horrible as rape or pregnancy resulting from rape is not God's plan, as a woman that is a very difficult decision so I think it was an unfortunate comment; as for the Benghazi killing it was a horrible event that could have been avoided had there been plenty of armed security forces which we all know the inexperienced staff rejected the pleas, I blame Charlene Lamb in her words she wanted to keep the embassy security artificially low, may God help her understand how wrong her actions were; as for Connie Mack's comment you conveniently omitted some important wording, here I will refresh your memory: United Nations Organization set to Monitor US Polling Places on Election Day: The United Nations-affiliated Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe will deploy election monitors around the United States on Election Day in an effort to monitor conservative groups for voter suppression or intimidation at polling places.Led by Ambassador Daan Everts, the election monitors will include a total of 57 international experts and observers — 13 placed in Washington, D.C. and 44 placed at polling places on other cities.
Yes I agree with Connie Mack's views & find it offensive for UN to be present at our polling places, an important fact they are NOT US Citizens so yes they should not be allowed in the polling stations & finally I am always honest with facts & I believe in my candidate & know they will not harm our nation!

For all the Romney fans trying to use a tragedy for political gain, take note of what Ambassador Stevens father has said:

The father of Christopher Stephens, the United States ambassador who was killed in the attack in Libya last month, said Saturday that it would be "abhorrent" for his son's death to be politicized in the presidential campaign.

In an interview with Bloomberg News, Jan Stevens said the attack on Benghazi and the ensuing investigation has no place in the upcoming election.

"The security matters are being adequately investigated," Stevens, who is getting briefings from the State Department on the investigation, said. "We don’t pretend to be experts in security. It has to be objectively examined. That’s where it belongs. It does not belong in the campaign arena."

You should all be ashamed of what you are trying to exploit for political gain.

I love how Romney tries to come down on Obama for not having mopped up the colossal mess he was handed in just 4 years .... and yet, Romney's plan to fix the economy spans 10 years ...seems a bit of a double standard.

The main problem that we have right now is the result of the bank bailout. The govt borrowed money to do this ... who gets the interest on that .... THE BANKS! I wish I could work a deal like that.... sweet!..... and in return, they still didn't free up money for business loans or to help homeowners that are underwater in mortgages.... awesome! ... plenty of big salaries for the CEOs.

The posts last night just got more and more strange. I know a lot of this discussion is exchanging witty--at least in our opinion--remarks, but part of that means doing so with people equally "armed". I have enormous admiration for Joe C and Rick Brasso for their persistence in correcting misinformation and putting forth clear ideas as well as being clever while doing so. I really look forward to their posts. I must admit to just too much irritation at the misinformation and outright lies to reply to the constant purposeful inflammatory comments as well as they do. I just think Anti-liberal appears to be at actual risk right now. I don't know if Patch does interventions, but this is a troubling situation. No one should have or should put their mental well-being in danger for the sake of an on-line discussion.

I'd like to see the 'President' take Donald Trump up on his offer..
I too stopped by the event this morning and haven't ever seen so many confused looking people leave a campaign rally. Of course the crowd that was there already had their mind made up as to who their voting for. Of course their all voting for Obama, they don't want to lose their free Obama hand out money.. The majority of the people in the crowd who I saw this morning didn't even look like Americans.. It looked like I was walking up on a 3rd World Country as these people were leaving..

Anti-Liberal,
As I posted on a friends Facebook about this issue. I disagree with any unsealing of transcripts. All transcripts are sealed, so it isn't like Obama is different in that regard. And this raises a lot of red flags to me. I'm a person with two masters degrees, and I do not want my information out there. I was young and early in my career I did do poorly in classes that I ended up retaking and getting A's. But do would I want a public reminders of proof of some tough period in my life (personally and scholastically). Also if he was admitted and graduated from the schools with less than stellar grades that is on the school not the student. No university should allow a student to graduate if they didn't complete the requirements. And it isn't something that is requested of any other presidential candidate. I just think Trump is making a public stunt out of something that he shouldn't. I know Trump says it's not a stunt, but he is too smart to know it's a way to get his name in the public. Again, I'm fine with challenging either candidate with the issues, business, and public service records.

Very interesting propaganda by the liberal media to hush up the cover up by White House especially on the day when Charles Woods, father of the former SEAL Tyrone Woods, is questioning why the Obama administration did not respond with military force to rescue the Americans trapped in Benghazi on September 11. Anti Liberal,
First how does this really respond to the post you are replying to? Second, please wait for the full investigation on this. We do not know all the facts of this case. The people that are being hurt by both parties politicizing of this event are the friends and families of these men, and the people who were trying to support these brave people in the field. Were mistakes made, but not all the information has been discovered. Did the administration handle the post event incorrectly, absolutely. Do we know the facts in their entirity and without knowing the other factors that were involved? No. These events didn't happen in a vaccuum. How many false reasonings did we get for 9-11 before it was investigated. It took over a year for the full information to come for the finding of Bin Laden. Instead of grabbing just pieces here and there of information, I ask that we all act like one nation instead of snivelling bipartisan parties on this issue.

$1.29 from any Redbox.

That movie should give you some good perspective on things... The director / author (who is originally from India) did a really good job of putting this movie together. Connect the dots.. - the facts and proof is all there.
- And don't try coming back on here talking all kinds of nonsense about Fahrenheit 9/11 and supposed Bush cover ups, etc.

TJG,
I have seen Obama 2016 and the author has already been challenged by his use of "facts" in this movie. He is no better than Mike Moore and Fahrenheit 9/11. Both try to sell opinions as facts. Saying it connects the dots, well it does as well as Fahrenheit 9/11. The author how claims to be an authority on his subject matter has admitted to never being in the same room as his subject matter. When challeged on some of the facts upon his book publishing by Fox News, he wouldn't responsed when they informed that his facts were a little off. Like how he uses his father friend's words as words coming from Obama's mouth or book. Is just one of the many "dots" that are poorly connected. Also like the fact he never calls the book he bases his book after appropriate to sell his story better. The interview with Vitz is probably the best portion of the movie (most accurate). From there it is a string of poorly connected information.
And if you think he is such a factual being, then you also believe that we caused the Terrorist attacks of 9/11. Which was in his book "The Enemy at Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11". In "Letters to a Young Conservative" women belong in the home and homosexual relationships are wrong because it is woman who civilizes the man.
Much like Mike Moore, Dinesh D'Souza takes some facts and then sells his opinions as facts for the rest of the movie.

Want a Better Economy? History Says Vote Democrat!

Personal disposable income has grown nearly 6 times more under Democratic presidents

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has grown 7 times more under Democratic presidents

Corporate profits have grown over 16% more per year under Democratic presidents (they actually declined under Republicans by an average of 4.53%/year)

Average annual compound return on the stock market has been 18 times greater under Democratic presidents (If you invested $100k for 40 years of Republican administrations you had $126k at the end, if you invested $100k for 40 years of Democrat administrations you had $3.9M at the end)

Republican presidents added 2.5 times more to the national debt than Democratic presidents

The two times the economy steered into the ditch (Great Depression and Great Recession) were during Republican, laissez faire administrations

Total failure? You can't mean the doubling of the stock market, the net gain of 900,000 jobs per month, finally we are catching up to the other great nations of the world with healthcare for all, our huge increase in favorability ratings across the world, the end of two wars, increased exports and housing prices on the rise, the Obama tax cuts for 98% of Americans. 401K back up to pre Bush values, nearly 3 years of job growth. Better energy efficeincy and increases in veterans benefits.
Now please tell us if you can of Governor Romney's accomplishments as Governor of Massachusetts. Explain why, Michigan, and Massachusetts won't vote for him. Why the #1 mormon newspaper in the country won't support him, and why our greatest (republican) military leader thinks he is unfit. I anxiously await your response...

Please post away. Just don't threaten those that don't agree with your paranoid twisted view of the world. I appreciate your post. You make the rest of us look good.
Now I have noticed you never responded to my post of this AM.

I don't get it. How can people be so concerned with college transcripts from a quarter century ago. And not at all bothered by the fact the man wanting to be President of the United States will not release tax returns from this decade. Obviously he has something to hide or he would do what he expected others he vetted to do.

Now I have responded to your 9am post go read it & tell Letterman to read it too, Mr. Romney has nothing to hide, his tax records are posted so your outburst is invalid ;)
accept the fact I am better than you are & from where I am standing you don't look good at all, he who calls me paranoid has illusions of grandeur also I like to call your attention to the fact how you jump to conclusion that I was stalking you, I am still laughing about that one but hey accept the fact I am a normal person without an agenda & your efforts to discredit anybody who stands in your way makes you look very foolish, I still wish you all the best in your narrow one sided world :)
