A man who broke into an auto store on Tuesday attempted to attack an officer with a vacuum before a K-9 dog bit him on the thigh, according to the Tampa Police Department.
Here's what happened, according to a report from TPD officials:
Around 2:27 a.m. on Tuesday, a man broke out the front window of ABC Auto Sales, 6112 N. Florida Avenue, and came in, setting off an alarm. After he used a screwdriver and hammer to break open an M&M machine, authorities arrived and set up a perimeter around the business.
An officer stood at the broken window and asked the man to surrender, or else a K-9 dog would be sent inside.
The man ran toward the window with a vacuum raised over his head to attack the officer, who then commanded the dog to strike the man. The dog, Razor, bit the man on his left thigh. Then, the man grabbed Razor around his snout and head, ignoring officers commands.
One officer "delivered two weapon punches" to the defendant's face, but he still refused to listen to officers.
Still holding onto the dog, an officer used a Taser to blast the man. The man - identified as Robert Therman, 41- suffered a serious bite wound to his left thigh, and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital.

Hopefully the dog is being treated for possible std's and other getto rat related threats.
