Haley Vet's Hospital to Break Ground on Primary Care Annex
Construction will soon begin on the 106,000-square-foot facility.
Veterans healthcare in the region will soon get a boost.
The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital and developer/general contractor Duke Realty are holding a groundbreaking ceremony this week for the hospital's new primary care annex.
Construction is expected to be completed in February of 2014. Officials say it will be a giant help.
"The 106,000-square-foot facility will house services currently provided by the
nearby James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital and enable the hospital to expand
healthcare to more than 87,000 veterans in Pasco, Polk, Hernando and
Hillsborough counties," Haley officials said in a statement. "In addition to primary care services, the two-story facility will offer women's wellness, radiology, mental health and dental services."
It is being built at the corner of Fletcher Avenue and Interstate 75.
