Arrest Made in Friday's Fatal Shooting
Tampa Police have arrested Louie Cromartie with killing Carl Kidd
Tampa Police have made an arrest in a at the home of victim Carl R. Kidd, 33.
Kidd, 33, was found dead in his home at 3402 N. Clay St. after officer responded to a report of shots fired.
Investigators followed up on leads and identified Louie Phillip Cromartie, 26, of 1420 E. 97th Ave., as the person suspected of killing Kidd about 9:25 p.m. Friday, Tampa Police Lt. Lee Bercaw said in a news release.

Officers found and arrested Cromartie at 10:10 a.m. Saturday near the area of 18th East Street and 24th Avenue. He was charged with first degree murder, robbery, being a convicted felon on possession of a firearm, trespassing, domestic battery, theft and opposing an officer. Cromartie is being held at Orient Road Jail with no bond set.
Cromartie has an extensive arrest and prison history, which mostly includes drug offenses.
